How to Plan a Poolside Hibachi Night for a San Diego Group Stay
A poolside hibachi dinner is one of our favorite ways to make a big San Diego stay feel like an actual event instead of just another night out.
For a group of 10, 12, 16 or more, restaurants can turn into a logistics puzzle: reservations, rides, split checks, late arrivals, and somebody always getting separated. Bringing dinner to the house flips that equation. Everyone stays together, the pool is right there, and the evening can stretch out without watching the clock.
What works best
Choose a home with real outdoor gathering space, enough seating, easy kitchen access, and a layout that lets the chef work without blocking the rest of the group. Pool and spa homes are especially good for this because dinner becomes part of the night rather than the whole itinerary.
